Ziszor - Home
  1. What if the Ziszor! doesn't work when I press the toggle switch?
First, make sure that the batteries are installed correctly and fitting tightly against the metal contacts. If it still doesn't work, try a fresh set of batteries.
  2. Can I shred an entire, unopened envelope?
As long as the envelope and its contents don't exceed five sheets across, the Ziszor! should be able to shred it. If the envelope does get stuck, simply hit the reverse side of the toggle switch and remove it. You can then feed the envelope and its contents separately.
  3. What are the dimensions of the Ziszor!?
The Ziszor! weighs a little over 1 lb and is 10" long and 2" wide
  4. Can I submerge the Ziszor! in water or expose it to heavy moisture?
You should never put the Ziszor! underwater or expose it to heavy moisture for extended periods of time. This will damage the motor and cutting blades - and void the warranty. To keep the Ziszor! clean, simply wipe it with a damp cloth.
  5. Is the Ziszor! safe for children?
The Ziszor! is not a toy and not intended for use by children.
  6. Should I be concerned about my fingers getting caught during operation?
The Ziszor! was carefully designed so the cutting wheels are recessed from the surface and the upper and lower openings narrow. Nevertheless, we suggest you let the paper self-feed once it has been inserted in the slot for added safety.
  7. What should I do if I am having trouble closing the battery compartment?
This problem can occur when too much pressure is used on the small ribbed tab that is pressed to remove the battery compartment door. The best solution is to remove the door carefully and pull the small v-shaped hinge outward (away from the door itself) and then reinsert. If this does not work, try it again but this time a bit harder (be extra careful not to break the tab).
